Minders 201 Pepper: So Mr Boomer – are you going to try the new beer? Boomer: I suppose it would be rude not to. Pepper: I think it’s a lovely refreshing beer – as its name suggests – citrusy with English Endeavour hops. Scarlett: And I’ve got the first production batch of Scarlett Lady if you’d like to try it Eva. Eva: Oh I see! Scarlett by name and it’s pink. Is that from added bitters? Scarlett: No bitters – we get the pink colour from rose petals. Eva: This really is an excellent gin, I love the little hint of roses. How’s your beer? Boomer: I must admit it lives up to its name, it’s a great thirst quencher. Eva: So the girls have both scored then, you should have done some staff development when you were running the place. Boomer: I’m afraid it does rather look like I missed a trick there. Eva: Now you’ve had time for a good look, what do you think of the new décor? Boomer: It does have a fresher feel I suppose. Eva: I love it – these tables with the grape motif are great and your beer’s featured on the round ones, that’s a nice touch. Boomer: I am glad Forest’s kept that beer – I do get a little income from the sales. Eva: Silly boy, you don’t need to worry about money now you’re married to me – I’m sure daddy will find you something profitable to do soon. Boomer: (thinks) That’s just what I’m worried about.
