Minders 220 Bernadette: Breakfast things are all tidied up – would you like me to bring you a drink now? Fei: Mmmm, yes please, just a lime juice and soda for now. Have you seen Smokey? I thought he’d have been out here by now. Bernadette: Yes, he said he was headed for the stern deck to fish this morning. Fei: In that case, hold the drink. I’d better check he’s not doing something stupid. Fei: Smokey! Just what do you think you’re doing there? Smokey: Waiting for a bus to Norwich – what does it look like? I’m fishing for fuck’s sake – that’s what I came here for. Fei: And some of those fish could easily pull you into the water! You should be wearing a life jacket! Bernadette: That would be sensible – I’ll get one for him. Smokey: What a fuss! I suppose Forest put you up to this? Fei: It has nothing to do with Forest. Remember I’m your Minder and that means I have to look after your safety on this trip. Smokey: Humph! I’m sure Forest had a hand in it somehow – he delights in making me look a right plonker!
