Get yer mind outta the gutter! Sick bastards! Anywho had this sitting around for a while, and though that people may get some use out of it... Basically, the default hand positions that models get is, well, pretty false. You end up with a lot of unrealistic hand positions. Here is a demonstration of a 'generally relaxed hand'.... When you look at your hand in a relaxed state, standing or sitting, it kinda looks like this. The pointer finger is usually the most stretched out, with your pinky the most curled (gradually curling more and more from the pointer to the pinky). The thumb, when relaxed, rotates down the side a bit, based upon the THUMB 1 scale. Hands are a real telltale sign of posing, ackward hands can break a pose, and posed hands can make one. I sort of wish that the default hand position was a realistic relaxed one, given that pretty much every time I create a new pose I have to do this!
