Caedmon already knows that her request has no hope of being approved. The situation is against her and Castleton will not budge, however it is made very clear to her by both her superiors that all is not what it seems. Castleton despite being the harsh cold hearted tyrant he appears to be, seems to keep those that see differently close at hand. A small sign that he seems to know that looking at a situation from one perspective is foolish, and this leads many to believe that he is far smarter than he appears, choosing to show the world only one side of himself.?
