Queen Asylla of Tristram

Asylla was born in Khanduras, and was the beloved wife of King Leoric, and mother of his two sons. Before his fall to madness, Leoric loved her deeply. Asylla was known for her beauty. She had a thousand gowns of a lovely pink, gifted to her by Leoric all at once. During the Darkening of Tristram, Leoric was seized by madness, after the Archbishop Lazarus purposely freed Diablo, who tried but failed to possess the King. Lazarus then took his youngest Son Albrecht before the Demon Lord of Terror instead, further driving the King to madness. Lazarus convinced the King that Asylla was conspiring against him, to keep her from trying to find and prevent the possession of her Son from happening. Leoric decided to imprison of his wife, confining her in his dungeons. She knew her death was imminent, yet feared for her sons more. The king eventually had her executed by guillotine as he watched. In her last moments, Asylla calmly maintained her innocence in the face of her husband's groundless accusations, but she was nonetheless beheaded, with Lazarus claiming that she had lied to the very end. Following her beheading, her remains did not decay, apparent proof that she was a pure soul wrongly executed. It is said she haunts the King's dungeons holding her severed head in her outstretched hand, desperately trying to find her sons Aidan, and Albrecht, and free the souls who had been damned to eternal torment and imprisonment by her once beloved king.
