Description

Aspiring actress Samantha Akane O’Brien is the daughter of an Irish-American father serving in the the US Air Force and a Japanese mother. Born on Yokota Air Base, she grew up moving from Air Force Base to Air Force Base in the United States and Europe before finally settling down in Washington state. Upon graduating high school, she relocated to Hollywood to pursue her childhood dream of being an actress. While roles have been scarce due to the sheer level of competition, she lucked out and scored the role of Linda Lee in a film adaptation of William Gibson’s Neuromancer due to her already having a passport and connections to Japan. On the set, she met Hilda Kennedy, who has been mentoring her and using her influence to help Samantha out. Off of the set, she met a man named Jason. Jason was a Native American professional wrestler and ex-soldier who both lived and wrestled in Japan, and has been assisting her in pursuing a second interest: professional wrestling. Under his advice, she relocated to Vancouver to pursue roles in the Canadian film industry, a move that has largely been successful. When she’s not on set or auditioning, she’s traveling with Jason around the world, functioning as a manager. She plays the bubbly, sweet, outgoing girl next door who loves life, an extension of her real life personality, and TV Tropes would describe her character as the Manic Pixie Dream Girl. She plays off of Jason’s persona of the Modern Day Gunslinger, and interactions between them can often be comedic due to the contrast in personalities. In her down time, she’s notorious among her friends for seemingly being allergic to clothing, preferring to be in the nude when she’s at home or in the hotel room.
