Cortana was constructed from the cloned brain of Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, the creator of the SPARTAN Project; Halsey's synaptic networks became the basis for Cortana's processors. Cortana's original design was based on the Egyptian queen Nefertiti; the character's holographic representation always takes the form of a woman. Cortana is the strategic A.I. computer that commands the fleet, and guides them to victory. Before the main fleet battle cruiser was destroy, Cortana was placed in Master Chief's body for transport. Master Chief was believed to be the best choice to deliver Cortana safely back to the military. This model is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Halo in 2011. Cortana is the 2nd model in my A.I. series?
