Michael Myers is the star of one of the greatest horror films of all time "Halloween". Michael has gone on to make 9 Halloween films to date. Halloween 1 & 2, 4-8, and remakes of 1 & 2 by Rob Zombie. Halloween 3 never contained Michael Myers and it was more of a sell out film to use the name to draw in crowds to see the movie. John Carpenter created and released Halloween in 1978. Halloween 2 was released in 1981 and was also a great success for John Carpenter. Moustapha Akkad was a producer on the original Halloween, and was quoted by saying Michael Myers was like his Son, and he would always keep Michael alive as long as he could. Moustapha Akkad worked on the first 7 Halloween films until his untimely death in 2005. Moustapha Akkad and his daughter Rima Akkad Monla, were killed in the November 9, 2005 Amman bombings in Amman, Jordan. They were both in the lobby at the Grand Hyatt when a suicide bomber sent by Al-Qaeda detonated his device; his daughter died instantly, and Akkad died of his injuries two days later in a hospital. Moustapha Akkad is survived by his former wife, Patricia Akkad and their sons, Tarik and Malik who helped produce most of the Halloween movies, as well as his widow, Suha Ascha Akkad, and their son Zaid. Sadly this was on the day of his Daughters wedding and ending the reign of the Halloween movie series, or so we thought. Rob Zombie remade Halloween in 2007 and followed up with a horrible sequel in 2009. The second movie had pretty much destroyed the Halloween series at that point. Rob was said that he made Halloween 2 out of spite as the studios forced him to make part 2 against his better judgment. So Rob created a film that was so violent and gory that no one would like it.
